Black Doves Season 2 Is Out Today on Netflix: What to Know

Black Doves Season 2 is streaming on Netflix today. The spy thriller returns with Keira Knightley as Helen Webb and Ben Whishaw as Sam Young, and Netflix is releasing the whole season at once rather than week by week. If you have been waiting on the Black Doves Season 2 release date Netflix listed for November, today is the day: Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026.

Black Doves Season 2 release date Netflix: a six-episode binge

TVLine first reported that Season 2 would premiere Thursday, Nov. 5 on Netflix with all six episodes. Variety later confirmed the same window, writing that all six hour-long episodes will release on November 5. TVLine's full Netflix November 2026 guide also lists "Black Doves" Season 2 under Thursday, Nov. 5 as an original series and a six-episode binge.

Netflix Tudum's New on Netflix November 2026 roundup places Black Doves on the Nov. 5 slate, with Helen (Keira Knightley) navigating life as the prime minister's wife while Sam (Ben Whishaw) faces a deadly ultimatum and an attack on Reed (Sarah Lancashire) pulls them into a desperate hunt for answers. Tudum's dedicated Black Doves Season 2 page, published Nov. 5, 2026, says the season is now streaming on Netflix.

In short: the Black Doves Season 2 episodes are available to binge today on Netflix in the U.S. There is no weekly drip for this run, according to TVLine and Variety.

Black Doves Season 2 cast: who returns and who joins

The Black Doves Season 2 cast is led again by Keira Knightley Netflix viewers already know from Season 1. Tudum and Deadline both list Knightley as Helen Webb, Ben Whishaw as Sam, Sarah Lancashire as Reed (also called Mrs. Reed in the official synopsis), and Andrew Buchan as Wallace Webb. Also returning from Season 1, per Tudum, are Kathryn Hunter as Lenny Lines, Ella Lily Hyland as Williams, Gabrielle Creevy as Eleanor, Agnes O'Casey as Dani, and Molly Chesworth as Marie.

New Season 2 additions named by Netflix Tudum include Ambika Mod as Laila, Babou Ceesay as Mr. Conteh, Sam Riley as Patrick, Neve Campbell as Cecile Mason, Sylvia Hoeks as Katia Chernov, Goran Kostic as Alexi Chernov, and Samuel Barnett as Jerry. Deadline's Season 2 trailer and first-look gallery names the same returning leads and new arrivals, and Variety's trailer report lists the full Season 2 ensemble in the same lineup. Series creator Joe Barton returned as writer, creator, and executive producer, Tudum and Deadline report; Julian Farino and Kieron Hawkes directed the new season.

What to know before you press play

Season 1 left Helen still working for the covert Black Doves organization while married to rising politician Wallace. For Season 2, Netflix's synopsis — quoted by TVLine, Deadline, and Variety — says Helen is still betraying her nation's secrets to the Black Doves, but with Wallace preparing to become prime minister she is walking a more treacherous line than ever. Reed is ensnared in a plot to undermine her position, Helen reunites with Sam, and the once high-end triggerman is now reduced to lonely drinks in Soho bars and low-rate hits.

Tudum's cast guide adds that Season 2 digs further into how the Black Doves organization works behind the scenes. Barton told Tudum it was fun "to dig into the [Black Doves] organization more than we did in the first series and actually see a bit of how it works behind the scenes, and then blow it all up slightly." Filming spanned London plus locations in Paris and parts of Italy, according to Tudum.

You do not need a cable package or a separate rental: Black Doves Season 2 is a Netflix original, and the full six-episode season is available to stream with a Netflix subscription starting today. Trailers and first-look photos were released in late September by Netflix and covered by Deadline and Variety; Tudum also hosts the Season 2 trailer on its release page.
